Need alittle more power

I got a 09 cobalt lt with the 2.2 liter and i do a lot of hwy driving and looking to get a little more pep out of it. I got a muffler just wondering wat other things i could do. I still got warranty but willing to sacrifice a little bit for a littl more hp and torque.

I'm a 2.2 too, best thing I found to do it upgrade to an ss exhaust, which puts your from our stock 1.75" pipe to 2.25" pipe, or you could go with a high flow catback whjch will do the samething. Also a CAI(cold air intake) makes a decient difference. With both of those your car will breath better, and get rid of the exhaust better. Plus it's a jumping point for other mods.

there is a ton of things that you can do..I recommend that you do some searching..there are a lot of parts out there...you can go simple or you can go crazy...depends on how much you want to spend. Start with the basics..intake, exhaust, header/downpipe, intake mani. After that you could work on the internals if you so choose..as far as brands of everything..just search..use google and youtube..find the sounds you like for the price that works for you. good luck with the build

I would do header/dp combo, cai, and a lsj catback with a trifecta tune. Could get all of it for about 600-850 depending on how you go(new/used). You'll see a good jump in power and a fun daily driver car.

Don't forget tools, and possibly a torch.

And you can never have too much beer.

Go with a KN or Injen, I got my KN for 145 used and it's great. It actually makes our little cars sound like they have some *****

a while back...you could find intakes on ebay for 45 bucks....not sure if those are still around...and then all you would need to do...if you want...upgrade the air filter to an AEM or K&N
