compare the 3" no cat SRT exhaust to a stock cobalt exhaust? LOL you guys really are friggin hilarious.
I don't think the 3" exhaust was designed with a good sound quality in mind...but hey, good try on that one. BTW...the pops are designed like that from the factory...and the car has no muffler at all from the factory!

Civic SI = 197hp, 139ft/lbs. So making 154 or 169ft/lbs isn't enough? But the LS cobalt is only 148/152. Nevermind the fact that the SI's are quite a bit lighter, and don't need the torque.

I just severely dislike Honda engines, I am too used to American engines and i just can't find the power band. I know they are good cars and reliable i will just probity never own one cause i don't have fun driving them. I have more fun driving my moms 1994 Pontiac transport! As far as Neon's go i have only driven automatic 1999 neons. I hate them and I had way more fun driving my 97 escort, in fact i raced a few in my 97 escort and won most of the time. The biggest problem with cars is that no 2 cars drive the same, some peoples 2.2 ecotecs are slower than other peoples 2.2 ecotecs. It is just the nature of machining, i know this cause my parents have a 2.2 coupe 5spd and so do i. My parents car actually moves a bit better at high rpm than mine!

LOL you drove an automatic neon...and you're basing the fun level off of that? MY GOD..i'm sorry That's the first thing I did when I got my last '99 DOHC ATX was swap the damn thing to a 5-speed.
As far as the honda powerband, I have to agree with you...which is why I went forced induction. I just can't get over having to rev the **** out of the cars to get any power...but once you get used to it, damn they're fun. But hey...to each their own.

Hondas aren't as light as they used to be...still, that doesn't keep it from being the best performing Si to date.

The sedan's is 2 inches longer. (We'll post a first drive of the 2006 Civic Coupe, Sedan and Hybrid next week.)
Those new dimensions have added 95 pounds to the Si's curb weight, and have swiped almost 3 inches of rear legroom. Unless you hang with supermodels and NBA stars, the car's backseat remains usable. And let's face it, if you're driving a Civic, even an Si, you ain't hangin' with Tyra and Shaq.

I don't see how this is so much lighter than a cobalt ...

who gives a **** how they make power...they have more of it...and the car is lighter. what else do you need to know? Great...you might be able to jump on a Civic SI off the line since you have more down low power..but they'll blast you on the top end.

And you're more than welcome to bring your ATX base cobalt on down anytime...like I said, I know many 5-speed base neons i'll throw up against your cobalt any day of the week. Hell i'll even go for the slow 2000 ATX base neon bastard child...and bet it'd still be a damn good race. Any takers???
If you think you can beat those "stock" neons...then i'll even climb in the seat of my own vehicle... http://www.tristatecarz.com/solodogg/stumpy

no offense to anyone, seriously this is just an opinion, not meant to bash anyone. The only 4 cylinder exhausts i have heard that i like are that of wrx's and sti's (the boxer engine just sounds good) and one srt-4 exhaust. this is that exhaust

it is quite a bit deeper in person.
