New header problems
I have an '05 2.2L that I just put the zzp mid length header and dp with the high flow cat. I am getting a CEL that is saying the cat is not getting hot enough. Is there any way to fix this?

i believe its that one..heater circuit...be sure u plugged ur o2 sensor back in...and that the wires were not touching the piping...they shoul dbe tucked into the downpipe heat shielding along the exhaust pathway...also use some dilectric grease on the connecting clip..that should help...if it still says below threshold...need a new o2...could of gotten damaged during the install...they arent cheap or expensive either, they run like 100ish..the precat o2 is a lot though..

If it said below threshhold then its a P0420.Catalyst below threshhold.If its a high flow cat then get an extender for your o2 sensor after the cat and that should fix the problem.Or get tuned and have that code permanently deleted

I was told to replace the O2 sensors with a header that relocates the sensor further down with these sensors instead for my wife's Sunfire 2.2 Ecotec. It is probably a different set for the Cobalt, but they are heated O2 sensors, so that they warm up quicker to go into closed loop. She has a 4:2:1 header that moved the sensor down a bit too.
Here is the e-mail I was sent on this:

Upstream is where the header/exhaust manifold is at.
Downstream is after the catalytic converter is at.
The one I am using is AC delco, as I have learned that they worked the best with GM cars. For my header I am now using ACDELCO Part # 213968 {GM#12568234}
For 2nd one (near cat) I am using ACDELCO Part # 2131478 {GM#88929905}sensor.
You may find it cheaper through Denso or NTK/NGK as now those companies makes it for ACDelco. You may find a good price of Delco on ebay or Amazon.
On your 2003 you have two Oxygen sensors. If you have over 100K miles, I would change both. You may or may not have a check engine light on, but the sensors do get worn out and with that mileage it is not getting a good reading for optimal fuel efficiency.
Hope that helps out, any more questions feel free to ask.
