But that doesn't mean to go out and pour nitromethane in your car and see how it runs, if you do your engine will surely blow up. Nitromethane is very expensive and dangerous to handle. The interesting alternative to gasoline is Methanol. Methanol will make more power, typically around 20% more power than a similar engine running gasoline. Some things to consider in running methanol is your fuel system will have to be completely changed / upgraded. Based on the table above the fuel system will have to flow approximately 2.5 times as much as the gasoline engine.
BLAH BLAH BLAH LOL things arent always by the book and these cars are not as fragile as everyone seems to perceive them 2 be ... frankly they are more reliable then a number of imports out there .....but then again dont take it from me ...iam the one who nitromehane in a rental lol
anyway i dont belive the heat is issue we had the air conditiong on and i live in vegas were 105 degrees is normal so both engine cooling fans were running .... keeping temps donw i guess cause we didnt melt **** and after we completely ran it through we filled right back up with gas and mashed on her all the way back to rental facility which was a good 1 hour drive from LAKE MEAD !! anyway simply amazing
