Thank you for contacting the Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center. I

We apologize, but we are unable to provide the support you requested.
All vehicles released from the assembly plant are inspected to ensure
they comply with government specifications, as well as standards
established by the Engineering Department. Chevrolet does not recommend
modifying a car or truck after it has left the assembly plant. Changes may
adversely affect the vehicle and possibly result in operational
problems. This could result in the warranty voiding of specific items covered
under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
Thank you for giving me this opportunity to assist you.
I have documented your concern under Service Request #.
Please note my work schedule: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. If

Yeah you won`t be able to get performance related questions answered by the customer assistance center. They are non GM employees hire to assist customers with consumer problems, and they are not mechanically inclined usually. You won`t be able to reach anyone at GM to answer this no doubt. Same with every car manufaturer. You would need inside contacts.
