Nramlow Goes Ls/tc
well. i dont know what to say. basically over the last 3 weeks ive really been thinking about it and watching a few of the sedan guys in the last week or so go over to the forced induction side of the world. i have made it up in my head that im going to turbo my car lol. so i in the process of pricing things out and finding the all around best set up. i plan on using the aem f/c. and using the apexi turbo timer/ boost controller. for a turbo im planning on using a t25,hks external waste gate. i figured the t-25 is a smaller turbo but it will spool up faster and to be perfectly honest with you there is no need for a t3-t4 considering im really only looking to be in the 250 hp range at most, but if i can find a gt28 ill probly hop on that. i just going to slowly buy parts when i have the money not that i buy everything at once and purchase something that is really not what i want. hopefully ill have everything to purchased by march and have my car ready by april for the midwest meet.

Right here.
First off...
Don't sell yourself short. Just because you have a 4 cylinder doesn't mean you can't have a decent size turbocharger that responds well. Response should be the last thing on your mind honestly. It's VERY hard to get a overly large turbocharger.
Second...
If you get a T25, you'll have a great low end...but that's it. You want a turbocharger that is:
1. Capable of flowing a high CFM
2. Responds well
3. Capable of giving you a WIDE powerband, not a narrow one
4. Is efficient
Third...
Buying a T25 Turbocharger means you'll have to have a T25 manifold style. If one day you want to upgrade, most turbochargers are standardized for a T3 or T4 flange style. It's a different size. You would literally have to get a new manifold to upgrade and you WOULD more than likely be stuck with a small amount of turbochargers that are that flange style. It's only smart to get a widely used flange style.
Look into any of the Garrett GT35s and lower.
If you care about response...read this... http://www.ecotecforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1856
Hope that helps. Good luck.

Save yourself some time and piece together the garret kit. Theres different option levels depending on how much you want to fab yourself. If you want to change a few things such as ball bearing to a journal bearing, find a turbo with a very similar map.
If you aren't experienced in doing something like this, use something tried and proven, you'll save yourself a headache and you'll learn the right way to do it in the future.

t3/t4 should support well more then what ur looking for..... look at something like a t3/t4 60trim with a exhaust ratio in either .48 for more low end or .63 for more mid to top end.
