i ran a t3/t4 60 trim on my z24 cavalier... with .63 exhaust ratio. anyone that knows cavaliers they will know the ld9 had a crap head. I got full spool by 3300rpms so considering that into fact that turbo would respond well on the ecotec considering they have overall better design in general

plus u gotta consider what your plans are for the future.... if u plan on doing more to the motor then your going to benefit from not having to buy another turbo right away if it supports your needs now and then.

And measure how much space you have behind your engine and EXACTLY where everything would go including which direction your external wastegate extension on your manifold is going to go and which side you want your turbo flange to be on.

Some of the Mitsubishi turbochargers use T3 flange styling, some use a triangular 3-bolt flange styling.
Yes.

The piping could literally be off by inches or the way you want / need it routed could be something different depending on your setup. The turbocharger you buy will effect the placement of everything. The placement of the flanges effects it too.
Seriously, find someone to weld it up for you. You're going to be disappointed when you spend money on piping and it doesn't fit like you thought.

It's not going to be that simple especially since you're trying to mix and match.

Yeah man. Trust me, everything is very nit pickish. Learn from my mistake, plot everything on your car. Even now, open up your hood and picture how much space you'll have for the turbocharger, where your external flange would be and if you would have enough space for the wastegate as well, where the piping would go in comparison. You really do have to picture everything and nit pick it.

ima straight up tell you your going to have to put alot of research into this...which im sure you know...and expect **** to happen that shouldnt....got studs in just last week in and 3 of them had to be custom cut to fit on the turbo...the one is so small the stud sits level with the top of the nut when fully tightened...if your really serious about this...then you better start doing some real planning...if you have any questions feel free to hit me up...as ive covered alot of the problems your probably going to come across....and im pretty sure rebels manifold is going to cost a shitload...3-400..maybe even 500...i priced one a while back but i dont fully remeber what it was...otherwise if your using that small of a turbo a standard log style should work fine....anyways good luck
