O2 Sensor Problem after Header install

I have heard a few people burnt or damaged the first O2 Sensor (Before Cat) as a result of putting on a header. Has anyone had this problem?
3 people in the Cavi/Sunfire Community I know have told me they had to replace the O2 sensor after 20,000 Km due to problems which were thought to be related to the aftermarket header that was installed.
I was thinking of getting a stainless header to replace the Stock LSJ Exhaust Manifold I have been using for the last 2 years

it will probably show up as a pending code if the light is not on, mine was 420(something, idk the letter on the end and don't ask how i remember the number ) which the "CEL Eliminator" took care of.

yes the spark plug non fouler, use them both together and they move the sensor back, thats for the oen after the cat, dont do it for the one on the header...but i have a stainless steel header, and i have no problems with my o2 messing up, ive had mine one for 3 months now...no problems, check gallery for pics

Your header looks sweet
I'm a big fan of that bronze colour that you get from stainless steel.
Just might have to buy one of these

I just ordered the same OBX Stainless Header you have. After seeing that bronze I'm convinced that ceramic coated is not my style. I'll be #4 on the list
Magcobalt, Jn2, xCobalt05x and ME

Hay guys! new to the site and already love it! well i have an 06 LS. i put an AEM Cold air with pacesetter headers and a magnaflow catback system and i get the same code (lean bank 1) i took it to the dealership after i checked it on my code reader and they told me to cram it, but i talked to one of their mechs offline and he was willing to help me out. he said i needed to sim my o2 sensors and probubly my MAF sensor. i have a site for the o2 sensors and they are resurching the MAF now. its http://www.o2simulator.com. the site onsite tech said any of the universal ones will work. have you guys heard of this? the mech also want to gut the cat and reinstall it, since i'm in the army i have to keep a "legal" apperance... plus some other tuning things. any ideas? or does this help any of you? have a great day guys! and weather in Iraq is lovely by the way!

http://www.autozone.com/selectedZip,.../selectZip.htm

so that the same as the o2 sensor extenders but with longer threads right? i have a zzp header/catless dp and was waiting untill the o7 tune came out so that i could turn the code off. i didnt want to put them on and have the cel come on and have to deal with it until i got the tune. if these extenders do really work, i might just go ahead and put it on.

anyone have any experience with the extenders on a catless dp? if they really would work

so for 5 bucks you get the same thing as spending?:

25 bucks+shipping http://www.arkspeedracing.com/Univ_C...20-%200001.htm

or 15 bucks shipped http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/o2-se...spagenameZWDVW

????

i just bought a pair of these anti-foul extenders and they are way too small. they arent even close. i can almost fit the whole thing through the o2 bung on my headers. lol there goes a gallon of gas...

what extender did you buy? and does it make the wires rub on the inside of the "trench" that the exhaust runs through?
