Good lord its not exploded yet? Did you even look at it before you put it in? Spec really are the worst clutch on the market, they're spared no expense at making them as cheaply as possible, hell I bet they cost less to make than a stock clutch does.

i've put 20k miles of beating the **** out of it.. i got it in a year ago .. shrugs.. my biggest complaint is the noise it makes cuz it's unsprung and a 6 puck thing is loud as ***** lol

yes i did look at it before i put it in.. so did the shop that installed it ..

Maybe they've improved. All of the un-sprung spec clutches I've seen have been the normal sprung clutch with just solid spacers where the springs would go. Which quickly bend and tear out the bend sheet metal tabs that hold the springs in.

Thats a solid reason.

Just another thing that this reminded me of. I bet an un-sprung clutch would mean death to an f35 that was driven hard. Because there's no springs to take up the backlash and any sort of slamming (harshness, blah blah) they are a lot harder on any shaft splines as well as cv's because the cv's have to try and take up those impulses and they cant take all of them so it goes into deflecting the splines and likely the gear case, through continued deflection failure comes. It would be interesting to note if un-spring clutches relate to more f35 failures. I know that was OT, it was just spur of the moment.

yea man that could be .. i noticed that it seems f23 trannys/ axels seem to take more abuse then the f35 oddly enough

here a update

i add a other shim in my tranny. there are 2 shims of 0.020'' each. now it is 0.040'' between the flywheel and the pressure plate.

today i go to pont rouge to try the slick tire
