OBX headers catless downpipe & ss/sc exhaust combo opinions
So I already have a catback off an 06 ss/sc on my 05 base model, It was my first mod, I now just got a GMPP intake which I'm very happy with. I was wondering what kind of improvements/changes in tone Would i get once I got the new header and catless downpipe put on. (i also have plans to go with a new catback system, most likely mandrel bent piping and a magnaflow muffler.) Does the DP make an ugly difference in sound? I'm getting a killer deal on both these and some sportlines any input is appreciated thanks!

Rasp really isn't my cup of tea by any means. I can just try it out with the stock sc exhaust. Then once a iget the cat back switch to a catted Gmpp DP or something.

I currently have on my car a Pacesetter header, Exhaust Depot catless DP, and stock LSJ cat-back along with the Injen CAI and as of yesterday I installed the 2.4 intake mani.
I believe mine has an exhaust leak, but not totally sure. Anyway, the rasp of the catless sucks under mild acceleration, totally annoying. I've had it for 2 years. When under moderate to heavy acceleration it sounds really good and I actually get some good looks from people, they're actually surprised that it sounds pretty decent. No go, just noise.
Anyway, I will be replacing my header with a Bad-Mab header, my DP with a ZZP catted 2.5", and the exhaust might stay the same for now, but I'll probably get ZZP's 2.5" stainless exhaust...either that or have a local shop fab up a similar exhaust if it's cheaper.
I think once I go with the catted DP, the majority of the rasp will be gone and it should just be a more mellow/deeper tone.
My whole goal with my car when I started was to get better mileage and performance while keeping it fairly quiet. My exhaust no longer does that so I'm changing it out for something better.

Cat less has grown on me sounds nice under 3.5k and then the noise. Car garages and underpasses can get pretty loud .

Best Header and DP I have
If I were you I would go with the Vibrant header and DP combo, best sound ever, so mean at high rpms and sounds like a WRX at just cruising speed, you wont be disappointed either the quality is top of the line.

Ok so catless goes out the window at this point.
this is what ive gotten from you guys and other inputs outside of the thread
1.short to mid length headers more likely vibrant or bad-mab,
2.highflow catted dp, (which should i get though? anyone had experience with different options?)
3.mandrel bent tubes (seeing as stainless steel is stainless steel whether its name brand or not)
4.muffler of my choice. (magnaflow seems to have the best tone. but which do you guys prefer? i really like that vibrant in the above post.)
it looks as if i'm going to spend a decent amount of money piecing this whole setup together so i want it to be the tone i want. Well the tone everyone wants. Deep not too loud but loud enough that you're happy
lets build my exhaust guys
