You're actually not the only one that has asked and said that to me lol. I guess that's what happens when people know you haven't worked since June of 06 and you're spending thousands on racing.
Rod, I know man...I asked him for some pictures so I'm just waiting on that. I can't tell you how badly I just want to fire up the engine and hear it roar...

Here's some photos finally. However, these ones are outdated considering that the cage is now complete...anywho...enjoy these now and I'll post more as I get them.
n this photo, half of it is done...it's now fully complete!
Looking towards the front of the car, before the rest of the cage was put in.
MMMM....sexy!
In the trunk...also notice the bumper is now off in this photo compared to the last one...there's a reason for that .

Not sure yet, why?
Also, apparently no one cares about my updates...*cry* lol. Damn you Rod for getting the most popular build thread....but then again, you deserve it considering what you're doing.

what all are you doing to the car motorwize??? i read through but didnt notice it, then again i only had a couple hours of sleep like normal
i remember the nitrous vid as well.. what is your power goal??
you got smaller pistons so you must be going turbo or super i would quess??
you keeping the stock crankshaft?? i was looking awhile back and noticed that crower has one and can build custom ones for our car as well as cams and rods..

1. I'll get pics of the motor once there is something to actually take a picture of.
2. If you take it the track sure, not problem I'll race.
3. The engine is straight from a PRO FWD car and is able to do 1450hp. We however are shooting for about 900 or so but with the new rules it'll probably be lower. We could easily make big power with this engine.
Here's a photo posted back on page 2 of the engine:
Here's a quote from the guy that sold the engine to me:

BTW this motor has made over 1400 horsepower and was in the factory car when
we went 202mph, the first Front Wheel Drive drag car to do so. It was then
converted to a wet sump and used as a spare motor for my Hot Rod/Pro FWD car
last season.
By "fresh" I mean that the motor was completly gone through by Roush Industries
in Detroit.
The car will run on gas and we already have most of the parts including:
930 CV's
300m axles
Custom motor mounts
Grand Am uprights and drive hubs
Mark Williams front brakes
Coan converter
MSD Digital 7 ignition
MSD Boost controller
MSD Trans controller
HKS wastegate
Weldon 2345 fuel pump
The car will have a chrome-moly cage and heavy duty suspension arms will be
sourced from Roush. The front structure of the car will also be reinforced.
Fuel injection will be Fast XFI and Garrett turbo size will depend on how fast Daniel
wants to go.

I expect that your car is going to easily break 9.99 secs and as such it will need to have a certified rollcage to be on a race track.
I know mine needs to be NHRA certified but I don't know the rules for NOPI.
It sounds like your car is at the point of certification and if something needs to be changed/added now is the time.
My chassis fabricator has requesteded an appointment so we can get certified so we can button up the the chassis/frame/roll cage part of the project.
As for pictures Dan, I know how they don't arrive as often as we would like to see them.

I expect your builder is very familiar with the certification requirements considering he is a racer. Still I would ask the question.
On the same note, make sure all needed SFI products are installed as getting turned away at TECH, because something isn't up to par, will really bum out your day.
