hopefully he has a 12 sec car or faster! 2.2 balts need to be proven they can be fast and dan is leading the way!

Fuel pump and ignition are the biggies for anything after a 75 shot...if you could send your info over to the Trifecta guys with the mods you have, you could have a safe N20 2.2L Cobalt that would tear it up!

As for the projected numbers, we're looking low 10's to high 9's. I have an incredible engine that can handle the HP...it's getting the traction that's going to be interesting...

Also, just in case the power levels are a bit higher than 9.5-7 worthy times @ 150+, we have a parachute for that .

Aeromotive makes great fuel pumps for EFI cars...check them out. I'm not familiar with the fuel pumps for the ss/sc.

I really wanted to make a statement with the car...hopefully I can do just that...the statement being that any average Joe can do what I've done, just like GM had stated with the build book.

Actually, I like the gunmetal color on it now. White would mark up way too easy.

Hi Dan

I like the looks of the car but please tell me what excuse they gave you for not working on it.

Are they related to the people working on my car????????

This picture clearly shows that where the passenger roof bar attaches to the main hoop that its NOT FULLY WELDED, nor is it "damn near perfect" Plus it looks like paint even already started in that pic. and the welds that are there, appear to more significant then just assembly tacks.

If this hasnt been addressed, it needs to be, if its somehow an optical illusion or the shop has fixed this, I apologise, but cages are safety systems, stuff like this cant be overlooked.

Dan, there are several things that I noticed in relation to your cage, you can PM me if youd like to hear my opinion.

Thank you for you concern, I do appreciate it. As for the bar going into the main hoop, no, that's not fully welded yet so yes, you're right. What I had meant was by the welds that are fully completed, are "damn near perfect." As for some things you noticed in relation to the cage, if you want, go and address them here. I'm always willing to hear from others in relation to the car, I may put up a shield sometimes but that is because it's my car. (you know how it is...)

The biggest thing I noticed aside from the weld issues are that this cage doesnt appear to have any lateral diagonal members, that is no side to side diagonal pipes, it also doesnt appear to have a dash bar. there is no support for the rear bars from the main hoop all the way back until almost thr trunk floor. So the only member holding the cage upright/strngthening it from side forces is the main hoop cross bar. There are no other supports on the main hoop except for the cross/harness bar, the cross/harness bar doesnt have any supports(to the main hoop or to the chassis) and the door bars bend IN towards the driver. Am I correct on these points /is this legal for a 9.50 cage?

The cage is actually good to 8.50, yet I have not have someone from NHRA Tech sign off on it yet. Will wait till everything is done of course.

You really should have an inspector come in before everything is finished, it actually usually saves time.

If your plaaning on geting an 8.50 cert on that I am almost 100% positive that your going to need a diagonal member on each side that connects to the main hoop at the crossbar and then attaches to subframe/floor

I am a certified welder in TIG, MIG, and Structural Stick, and i have to say that is the first thing that i noticed... I would def. get that checked for perfection... It appears to be MIG welded, which shouldnt be a problem to finish up... And i assume that " paint is already started in the pic" bc they were just painting over the welds so they wont rust? Or was it already weld Inspected?
