Ok to use a cold air intake in the winter?
Hello, I just got my GM performance cold air intake and wanted to know is it ok to have this installed in the winter when the temps get to 20, 30c below zero? I heard from a friend that the car well take longer to warm up.
I'm I going to have to put my stock air box back in when winter rolls around?
Thanks!

The GMPP intake removes the top of the old airbox. If it actually seals to the hood (kinda does) it pulls air from the exact same spot as the stock air box. Therefore, if you could with the stock intake, you can with the new intake.

The GMPP is not a CAI. It also has the filter and intake pipe at generally the same height as the stock air box. You should not be driving in water thats 2 feet deep anyway (the interior). This is not a Chevy 2500 pickup.

the K&N on the other hand pulls directly from the engine bay.

Its nolt like the engine will be sucking in twice the amount of air. And the GMPP sucks air in from the same location anyway.
My guess would be about 20% more at 0F than at 80F.
Should take less than 1 hour for the full install (taking your time).
