Well thanks for an answer, I was talking to my friend and he said they do nothing. Just wanted to check with some people who actually know what there talking about.... Or just wanted you to blow up my thread with some bull s***. Lol but when you say trifecta tune, what are the possible outcomes?

Chips do nothing but take your money.

In the old days of OBD1 emissions, cars had reprogrammable chips in the computer which had to be taken out and replaced to "tune" the computer. Nowadays, everything is OBD2, and can be reflashed using a laptop with a custom tune. In modern cars with OBD2 emissions (anything made after 1996), chips do nothing.

Trifecta tuning supports reflashes for All Cobalts.
HPTuners supports 2005-2010 Cobalt SS (both 2.0L S/C and 2/0L T/C), 2006-2008 Cobalt SS (2.4L. 2008 model year called the "Sport"), and 2007-2010 Cobalt 2.2L

my ex was a fat turd to start with. The fact he turned to eating when I dumped him didn't help.

You're not going to get any outcome from JUST a tune. You will need full bolt ons (intake, exhaust, tb and intake manifold) to even notice anything. But at that point, you will have spent enough money to supercharge or turbo your car. Full bolt ons and a tune will give you maybe 30-40hp. Simple supercharged set up will be about the same price and give you about 60-80whp

exactly. As I've said before, any performance mod you're gonna do, unless it adds more than 10% more horsepower, you'll never notice it.
