I was thinking about a ported LSJ head, but would you be better off using L61 cams or can you run LSJ cams? What head gasket do you use?

Port your current one and install some valve springs.

Yup. If you need a nice L61 to build, I got one for 400. Barely used. Super clean. Build it outside of the car then swap 'er in

Personally I wouldn't worry about ported head or cams until you do something about traction after boosting... unless your goal is a dyno queen.
