10:1 compression is good for boost. i believe if you go too low you may actually lose power. i think thats wat ive read. but runnin 10:1 you might run into a little detonation, so you may want to prolly invest in meth to cool the cylinders

**** that noise!!! 10:1 is perfect. you wont need meth unless your goin for rather large numbers. Built my honda with that, itll be perfect. do not go to all the way to 8.9:1.

8.9:1 Is for big boost numbers. But you are right there are 10.1:1 forged pistons that are for N/A so you need to figure that out with the vendor you are purchasing them from

youll be fine with any forged piston from wiesco. it wont be "designed for boost". Theyll all be flat topped pistons at that compression level I believe. the one thing that will differ is the ring end gaps when you put it together.

I have 8.9:1 but in all honesty I went this because its realistic and I can run pump without worrying about tons of cooling mods, think about your mods and decisions wisely. sacrificing that few hp could take alot of stress off the motor.

I asked a member about this in the past:

Diamond makes a 9.5:1 compression piston for boosted 2.2s, JE makes them too. and Wiseco will almost certainly make custom ones if you ask. Custom pistons arent really expensive, they are probably less than $200 more than off the shelf ones. But then you know youve got a piston intended to handle boost for its entire life, as opposed to just having a much better than stock piston.
I tried to get someone else to chime in on this as well over at EF:

If your going to spend money on these, you might as well contact wiseco or a reseller and see what you can get. People are running l61s stock with m62s that have 3inch pulleys or better, keep that in mind.
