Planning ahead
Ok I am buying the supercharger kit for my 2.2L whenever it gets released. No I do not want a turbo. I have a few questions to get ready for it. Yes I have searched and did not find the answers I was looking for.
1. Should I get an intake or will the Supercharger take the place of an intake?
2. Do I need to replace any internals to get them ready?
3. Before this kit I am changing out my exhaust, would I see better gains from it when I install the supercharger?
-GMPP Exhaust Manifold
-Magnaflow High Flow Cat
-GMPP 'Performance' Cat Back
4. Has GM released any dyno results from this system?
Thank You all

no dont get the intake the super goes off the other side so you wont be able to use it altough you may be able to use one for the 2.2 you should deff replace you internals if the kit doesnt come with them

The intake setup will be different, not sure about that one. You may have to make one.
If it's made for the 2.2L you probably won't have to change a thing.
I believe it is estimated to produce ~200 hp.

1. No wait for the kit to come out. Most likely the intake will be different from the way your stock is setup.
2. I believe this kit will be built to work on stock internals, complete bolt-on. You may need to up grade your clutch though.
3. I wouldnt recommend the GMPP exhaust manifold. An aftermarket header would yield better gains, but to each his own. Stock cat's these days are so free flowing that and aftermarket hi-flow cat would damn near be a waste of money. I believe the GMPP cat-back is 2 1/4in piping, if you're going with a forced induction setup, i.e. supercharger, you may want to consider at least a 2 1/2in setup.
Hope this helps...

Ok this definately wont happen for awhile, I am awaiting determination of a VA disability claim and the wife said I could spend a percentage of the money on my car. Hopefully the kit is out by that time. Thanks for all the help, I was really worried about the intake because I hear the 2.0L have intakes so I wasnt positve about that.

if I was you, I'd stick to exhaust and a header
the supercharger kit is probably going to heavily favor the 2.0 so physically their intake would probably fit but who knows how it would work with the 2.2, hell half of them don't work with the 2.0's.
Anyway, I'd go with a 2.5 exhaust, a pacesetter header...and then wait for the supercharger kit. Maybe do some other mods like suspension if you feel the need to do something new to your car in the meantime. You could always pick up a boost gauge and wideband a/f gauge to monitor your supercharger when the time comes as well.
The supercharger kit will be running pretty low boost I would assume so I'm sure you'll be okay without internals.

I really dont know. I just decided that if I wanna get to the point that I wanna be at with this car the cheapest way is gonna be F/I. But I will still refuse nitrous.
