possible 2.2 turbo???
whats up everyone. i have a 08 cobalt ls, and i want to go turbo. im thinking about going with the garrett tuner turbo kit, which has everything, but the engine management, fuel injectors, and boost gauge. the reason for this is because i know the 08's have a different fuel system then the previous years. i am new to the cobalt scene, but not to turboing n/a cars. i had a 01 mitsubishi eclipse where i had to custom make my own kit for. anyways just a few quick questions.......
1. where can i find the right size injectors?
2. how much boost can the stock engine handle daily driven and safely?
3. im going to get in touch with trifecta, but any suggestions on a tune?
4. any preferences on boost gauges?
5. how are the fuel pumps and all in these cars? will they handle boost without upgrading?
thanx for your help, and yes i am still researching, but just looking for any ideas anyone here has.

the stock pistons are rated for 250hp, the rods 300hp and crank 600hp. check our gm's L61 build book. it will tell you a lot about the drivetrain. to stay below the stock piston limits id say your'd be ok running the stock SSSC injectors rated for 32lb/hr. you can get them here on the forum used for about 50 bux. you would have to use an 03 cavy fuel rail and make your own harness but its not hard.
as far as the fuel system, its the same as the previous years, its the ECM that's different. the crank has a 58x reluctor ring vs. the 7x on the 06 and below.
boost... its relative remember? depends on the turbo. if your going with a GT2860 like the kit comes with, 8psi is good, I wouldn't push more then 10 with that turbo.
for tuning, if you have the same ECM as the 07's, you can use LS2Edit.
any boost gauge of your preference would work. autometer has nice ones.
the fuel system is fine, it will handle far past what the stock bottum end will handle.

i have no clue what the reluctor ring is? i understand picking up the ss/sc fuel injectors will work, do they fit with no modification?im not sure if my car has the same as the 07's but wouldnt you think the trifecta tune would be much simpler? or will it not work?
