post injen intake, now looking for exhaust
i just put in my injen CAI and now i want to move on to my exhaust. the name brand exhaust are all so expensive so im thinking ill go to a local shop and have them make me one. So, my first question is should i just have them make me a catback or should i get more of it like a downpipe and header?

and who mentioned anything about being cool? seems to me like you're aimlessly modding your car and you have no idea what to do next. sound about right? if you're getting an exhaust for performance reasons you'd do the whole damn thing from the header back. if you're cluess and don't even know what you want to do you ask a bunch of forum members to tell you what to do. again sound anywhere near right? so before you get all pissy decide what you're trying to do with your car and then find out what exactly those mods would do to benefit you. do you even know what size piping you're trying to get on this custom exhaust system?

the ss/sc megan exhuast works for the 2.2 as well exact same setup if you will and as to going custom you never know what it'll sound like. most aftermarket systems come with resonators that help quite down the 4 cyl rasp typically found in compact tuners. if you go custom you'll have a harder time sellin the exhaust if it ever came to that. i can't tell you how to spend your money but i'd recommend a good aftermarket replacement. you should see decent gains with a custom down pipe and 2.5" high flow cat as well. be warned though once you go high flow cat you'll throw the p0420 cel .
