Okay guys i finnaly got the last parts of my ss interior and want to hook up the power windows.
now what i am wondering is if my car has the plugs there already and all ihave to plug the parts in and they will work, or do i have to hard wire it into the pcm?

 

your car should have any of the wires coming out of the body plug to support the power windor plugs, unless your car came with power window/locks, the only wires coming out of your body will be for you 6.5" door speaker and possibly a side airbag sensor. I'm currently doing the same. I have an 08 ls and bought full red/black ss interior. in order to use the door panels i bought the power window regulators w/ motors, door lock actuators and stock wiring harness. all the wires will have to be hardwired to work for me.. the local audio shop said they'd do it and it'd take anywhere from 2-4 hours of labor which costs anywhere from 90-180. they told me $200 installed with keyless entry for the doors and trunk. ppl have done it by buying a universal power window kit and using the wires from the kit to splice into the wiring harness to make it work.. i'm willing to spend the extra money for a professional job and that way incase anything happens i can go to them to fix it.

 

where can you buy power all this stuff? i been wondering if you could.

 

find someone that is parting out a totaled cobalt or g5. That is how I got my parts. I just need to get door panels and some wire to wire everything in.

If you have the money you could buy new window regulators, lock actuators and the wiring harness from a dealer or gmpartsdirect

u dont have to upgrade your sisde mirrors, just take them off by removing the 3 bolts and you can tuck the manual adjustine lever inside the foam and remount them so the Ss door panel with pioneer tweeters can fit, you can then manually adjust them with your hands, you wont have power side veiw mirrors but who uses those anyways? its an easy way to save 80 bucks.. i found all my power window regulators and actuators off ebay from moradpartscompany.com id you need help with the install i just did this to my LS, i have power window but havnt hooked up the power locks yet. but do have the actuators installed, just not wired up yet

 

can you put ss door pannels on a ls im gonna say no but is you can how would get the hook ups for them since its an manual window i didnt see any wires at all is it even possiable

 

yea the door panels fit right in, i have it done. your manual window regulators (that hold the window in place and move i up and down0 obvioulsy do not eed power so thre are no wires,you have to replace that one with power window regulator and motor which will have plugs for wires, then you have to purchase the door wiring harness and the door panels with power window switch bezels. the only wires coming from your door into your car body should be speaker wires and if you have them side airbags. so either 2 or 4 wires. is possible but expensive. i probablly dropped $400. after this is done you can spend more money to install and alarm system so you an have keyless entry and remote trunk pop.

door wiring harness: $75
power window regulators w/ motors: $100
door wiring harnesses: $50-100

theres a how-to but is really confusing unless you have the parts and start installing them
