I never really understood the pro's and cons's of each and was wondering if some light could be shed on them?

Lightweight Alternator Pulley - Ecotec 2.2/2.4 - 5 ribs

2.2 2.4 Ecotec UDP - Underdrive Crank Pulley L61 LE5

2.2 2.4 Ecotec Lightweight Crank Pulley L61 LE5

Bump Please!

using lighweight pulleys r about 2lbs less then a stock pulley so it puts less load on ur engine, frees up a free hp if you modded, and helps u rev out faster,

based on way mods i see u hav and r goin to get, a lightweight pully will give u a little gain and yes u need a shorter belt but its just a little short, but do this add a last mod b/c price/power ratio u dont get much

Than a pulley alone won't make a significant difference...

By having them lightweight the engine has less of a load to try and turn. This allows the engine to spin faster thus quicker revs and with less of a load more hp(very little tho). Do it more for the revs so you can get to your powerband quicker and thus faster 1/4s!

So its a complete waste of time and money? It sounds like something I would like to have. I would love it if my car were to rev quicker.

the gm drag cars run the super damper with no problems up to 1400 hp.
it is already balanced and can with stand high rpm abuse.

i dont know as to how much it weighs but its better made than most

costs bout 410 through summitt racing
