Hi, you should have received 4 small Red or Green gaskets. If you don't see them please call me first thing on Monday and I will over night them to you.

Make sure you use the small flat steel plate with a small hole in it and green seal around it -- that's the PCV orifice! Goes in the center of where the "Rubber-band" intake seals go -- without it you'll have a terrible idle

No problems, yes the 2.0 engines use a big metal intake gasket. The 2.2 and 2.4 uses the litle rubber band type.

Don't worry it's not a hard install. follow along with the instructions and you will be done faster than you think.

Thanks for your purchase.

A 2.2 w/the 2.4 manifold, w/exhaust, and w/intake still has more low-end torque than a stock 2.2 -- the touted "2 ft-lbs lower torque" was with all the add-ons too, however, the HP gain (and torque gain) from 3000-6000 RPM more than compensates.

How is that? I thought low end tq went down with those mods only hp went up? So you would have lower tq but higher hp than stock. idk, could be wrong but the mods i have done so far feel like they took some of my low end.

Only ONE poster I know of had a Dyno loss of 2 ft-lbs of torque in the lower RPM (XM15) -- I believe even his dyno graph still (w/all the listed mods) showed an increase overall over a stock 2.2. I seriously doubt you could really feel the difference -- in fact even he thought it was more powerful by the seat of the pants before he did the dyno test. Also, his dyno was the only one that showed a serious loss of low end power in that the line really dipped more than anybody else's dyno chart.
I know that when I had all the mods on my 06LS auto I could put the "pedal to the metal" and get some really good wheel spin (far more than Stock) and the car pulled all the way to the "L" shift point (no not like a 2.0LSC - but for a 2.2 it was nice!). When passing, the car screamed nicely. I have seen 3 dyno charts with the 2.4 intake on a 2.2 and the ranges in HP increase were 9, 13 and 21 HP more at 6000RPM. Personally I don't like dynos because 1. temp and humidity can change the readings 2. Dynos can be "adjusted" by the operator -- I dyno'd my auto and couldn't hold it in 3rd gear (kept downshifting and upshifting as I pushed the throttle) so the operator I had couldn't get a nice clean line on the graph for me to post anything worth looking at to help prove it worked (and I didn't base line it anyway -- at $176 I didn't care to do it again either).

got it all done. i can really notice the loss of low end torque. doesnt wanna fry tire as much as before. but damn after about 20mph pulll is good. ive been keeping 0-60 times after each mod (NOTE: times may not be super accurate but its a good base as to see if your gaining.) and so far stock was 8.91 after CAI and exhaust dropped to 8.44, and after the intake manifold (just did a couple of runs) 8.20

Well that's a pretty nice drop. Helps the 1/4 mile time quite a bit. I finally got a CAI to match my 2.4 intake mani and man this car wakes the hell up. Can't wait for full exhaust. that 145-150 WHP will be a nice difference from stock. Can wait to get to 15.5 in the quarter or less

Still need a little driver mod before i hit the track too

Horsepower and tourque are directly related.

Typically when you have lots of torque, you have less overall horsepower, as this typicaly means you have low end torque. (see a pickup truck) When you typicaly have high horsepower you typically have less low end torque. (see just about any honda)

Horsepower is a function of torque at engine RPM. Thats why the horsepower is higher with high RPM.

What the 2.4 intake manifold does is shift the torque curve higher into the RPM band. This make less torque down low but more up high. Thats where the Horsepower gains and torque loss come from.

A phrase to live by
"Horsepower sells car, Torque wins races."

And as there is only a torque gain north of 4000 RPM, if you drag the car, thats where you run the engine anyway.

Yes the GMPP Performance Intake works with the 2.4 intake manifold on a 2.2L. The throttle body sits more centered on the 2.4 intake manifold -- on the 2.2 manifold the throttle body actually sits about half an inch to the driver's side. The 2.4 intake manifold actually makes the GMPP Performance Intake fit better.

I'm still up in the air about doing this mod. I think I may wait to see what happens with these 2.2 tunes that are being worked on. Perhaps they will find some way to minimize the torque loss and make everyone happy.

I also hope this tuning bonanza will help the 2.4 manifold out. I think we are lagging for some reason with tuning. I just put on a CAI friday and man the sound really shows that at 4k RPM the car goes nuts but has no ***** before then

the reason why could be loosing torque is because you have a highflow cat...
these engines need back-preasure to make torque

dont get mad if im wrong, because i really could be
?
