ya both should still work.i put a tach in my s-10 and both worked i pulled the dash out and found the feed wire on the dash harness

Shift using the sound of the engine? I have my cobalt since Oct 07 and I can tell when the engine is at a certain RPM.

Same here. I have only bounced the revlimiter once and it was with the stock ls exhaust with loud music on.

i think i had like 6000km on mine before i took the cobalt past 5000rpm

I waited till 12000 to take mine to the track and take it past 6000... still haven't redlined it.

He is right and I can confim this will work since I've had my tach hooked up for over 2 years now
