Rear drum to Disc???

Hello, Im sure this has been discussed....
Im looking to upgrade my rear drums to disc.
Anyone make a cheap kit to do this???
Or can I just piece-meal the parts from ebay off of an 4 lug disc vehicle???If so is it as simple as the rotors and calipers???
THANKS

No cheap kit. No easy way. Not as simple as rotors and calipers. Most of the braking is done by the front anyway. Not worth it.

i think you would have to buy the whole rear axle beam with the calipers and disc brakes already on.
they can be found for not too much, but its not that worth it, as you brake a lot more in the fronts.

That only works if you are wanting to do a 4 to 5 lug swap as well. Either way it's not really worth the trouble as stated and brakes are not an area you want to cheap out on

FYI brakes are in the suspension section of ss.net

Also this is discussed multiple times there. Going cheap on your brakes is not a good idea, but there are a few options out there, it will be around $700-$1000

There is also the option of buying brakets/adpaters made by Powell, they hold the calipers and keeps you 4 lug.

sorry for the wrong section...
Intel,
I didn't find this on their website...just a bracket??? their is no spindle to mount a rotor on so this would be a small part of the equation unless I'm missing something..

Powell's website doesn't list any of his cobalt/redline products, you have to pm him or email him or gloria their emails are floating around here somewhere.

Don't know what you mean by not having a spindle to mount the rotor, since the rotor "floats" on the lugs between the hub and rim
