yesterday I got the coolant pipe, thermostat housing, oil pressure gauge, turbo manifold, turbo, tourbo coolant feed, and turbo brace installed
taking off the plug for the oil feed

test fitting the turbo manifold

side by side of the old and new coolant crosover pipes

side by side of the thermostat housing

and with them installed

the brace for the turbo the top bolt is 10mm x 1.5 thread by 20mm long botom is the same just 25mm long

here is the crafty install of the oil pressure gauge

anyone know why the manifold is cut like this

a little over view

ended up removing some of the -4an tubing from the boost controler

turbo and turbo support bracket installed

slight issue with the heater hose

close up with the heater hose

so today I managed to get the O2 housing on which I might add was a pain in the A$$ got the heater hose hacked up and "adjusted" put the valve cover and oil pan on, got all the oil and cooling lines for the turbo installed, installed the thermostat in the new thermostat housing, fitted and adjusted the new lokar dipstick and reasembled the coil pack. tomorow my girlfriend is coming over to help with the intercooler piping and the return style fuel system im also guna try to get the downpipe welded and fitted for the exhaust... oh and a little bad news, I broke the oil pressure sensor to my glowshift gauge so I ordered a replacement for that and I think that covers todays events

yeah there is like 2.5" inbetween the turbo and fire wall, lots of room there, enough to get a socket rench up in there to tighten the oil and water banjo fittings. also in case anyone need to know the stupid little banjo gaskets that GM uses can be replaced with crush washers I beleve the size for the cooling line banjos is 1/2 you will need 2 for each banjo fitting. another thing, I went back and redid the coolant feed coming from the water pump housing because the thermostat rtv does not seal the threads enough so I redid it with teflon tape and ran a 5/16 spector AN line from the top coolant feed to the fitting on the water pump (just a side note 5/16 line is really tite and in actuality is too small, 3/8 line sould be used if you chose this method, be sure to get somthing rated for the heat)

gut those cats do something of the sort. lnf down pipes a big limiter. understanding your not going for huge power but i would gut them. if you need parts feel free to pm me. we can get anything you would like and we make an intercooler for the cobalt but it might be out of your price range. shoot me a pm if interested.

the reason for the cat ussage is to make the car silent I want the car to look and sound stock from the outside I was however thinking about doing a boost referance cut out in the future for higher levels of boost but for right now I just want to get the car up and running OTTP sent me a message saying "Josh, It appears we were out of the fuel rail fitting and it was over looked. I don't know why you didn't get a filter though as we have plenty. We will have the fittings back in stock on wednesday or thursday and will get you one shipped out with the filter right away. Thanks Josh" so hopefuly I can get this car under boost soon

did you have to get an lsj fuel rail? when i wanted to get the return style fuel system they said it wouldn't work with the l61 fuel rail so I went with the brfps.
