it depends on the spring rate of the wastegate you cant open the wastegate before the pressure overtakes the springrate pushing open the valve. for the K04 the wastegate that it comes with is set at 7 psi (remember the ss/tc uses an electronic boost control solonoid to control the boost to make the car run from the factory at 14) so there are a few things you can do to manipulate the wastegate first and most important would be to have the boost line for the wastegate conect to the pressure housing of the turbo why does this help? well you have to remember there is going to be a pressure drop due to intercooler and multiple pipe bends, this tends to lead to a 1.5-2 PSI drop from the turbo compressor to the intake manifold so if you want the wastegate to open at a lower psi this is one way to do it. think of it like this at the turbo compressor the pressure is around 7 psi so the wastegate opens but at the intake manifold it is only 5 psi so that is one way to get "less" boost

actauly thats left over from my one of my old turbo projects, its a oil pressure sensor I just haponed to have the fittings and tubing around at the time 2 years ago after the turbo install went sour so I decided what the heck why not so I did the oil pressure gauge with -4an hard line. I will have to redo all that with the new manifold and such so tomorow that will be going

I got the coolant pipe and thermostat housing off today also removed and taped the water pump housing for the turbo coolant line unfortunatly I did not get the oil pan off nor did I drill the oil return Im a little shakie and exhausted so im calling it a day, I did however order my tune and get the fuel tank draned and saved 5 gallions for later
Sealed the fitting with Thermostat housing RTV

hopefully later today I can get the oil pan off and drill the oil return I already removed all the bolts for the oil pan yesterday except the two large I think 18mm bolts that conect to the trany, Im also hoping to get the new thermostat housing and coolant pipe on, I will have to remember to losen the oil feed fitting on the block before I start puting things back together other wise its going to be a Pain in the A$$ to deal with later and I think thats all I wil have time for since I have to go to the campus at noon for my math final >_<
