removing the oil pan help!!!

ok i have done everything i need to get my turbo on i have the feed line im just having trouble getting the oil pan off im sure i got out all the bolts its just still really sealed to the motor any have any tricks to get this off!!!???

on mine i have 15 bolts that are vertical and 2 bigger bolt that are horizontal

17 bolts you should have

The sealant almost glued it on mine, pried at it just to find it was also stuck by the dipstick which is a giant PITA to get out.

Our bad solution: Disconnect the dipstick from everything but the oil pan, pry it off with a long flat head or the back of a hammer (It was done..) and take it out dipstick and all.
Also there's a bolt from the A/C that people miss.

Your gonna need to drop the cradle some on the drivers side for clearance too. That is if you didnt loosen it up for the turbo install in the first place.

^^^ I didn't have to drop the cradle at all. There are pry points where you just stick your flat head or pry bar in there and pry it off.

Where are these pry points??? My pan is on there like a motherf*. Trying to get it off now....tips appreciated!

probably covered by RTV. get a thin flathead screwdriver in to break the seal and just pry off from there

Got it off, thanks. There was nice spot to pry up by the tire in the front right corner.

Pry points?! Wtf wish I knew about them when I took my oil pan off. That rtv stuff gm uses holds crazy well

Pry and beat with dead blow mallet, Got it off and 10 minutes
