For CHEAP!
http://cm.ebay.com/cm/ck/1065-29392-...m=290106541680
$56 for the part, $15 for the shipping, and probably about another $15 for the core return, making a grand total of $86! NICE!

The core fee is refunded, so I didn't include that in the end price. I assume you will be powder coating your current cover. That leaves you without a working engine while the work is being done.

Grats man
I've been watching e-bay for 2.4L covers for awhile now, but never see them. Then I realized that Crate Engine Depot sells new valve covers, so I'll probably just buy one from them to have powder-coated. When I get around to it... lol

yea thats where i got the idea to do mine. I got a spare cover for $40 then had one of my buddy's coat it for me. Also as a heads up your going to need another gasket cuz the stock one won't come out in one piece. Here are a some pics of mine installed.

I didn't even realize that it matched the strut bar but i guess it does. I actually just liked the pic of the one on ebay and asked my powder coater if he had something similar and he said his color was called smoked chrome and it looked good to me so thats what i went with. I got a spare cover from someone on here so i wasn't without one for several days. If anyone needs one PM me with an offer

I did actually. Last year. It doesn't hold up to regular driving. It tarnishes very quickly. I'm keeping my core, so I'm going to try to polish it again and get a bare metal clear coat done to try and seal it.
I didn't see any LSJ covers, but they could most certainly do one.
