sweet deal and the clanking could be the TB opening. When you turn the key on the TB opens a bit for idle then when you turn the key off the TB shuts completely.....

I started it and ran it for a good 5 minutes while I data logged, the thing is running like a kitten now. I'm updating the tune now, hopefully it doesn't smoke me out this time, I was running ungodly rich the first time.

Well, he's having issues with the MAF pipe I have. Apparently, 3" is way too big. He's got it tuned for 2.5", and when I go up to the 3, it's causing all sorts of issues. We're working on it. How am I supposed to get vids when I have no camera?

Your manual boost controller.....failed? What the hell happened?

Well that sucks, you need to break in your engine a little more anyways. I wouldn't start beating on it til at least 1000 mi.

The issue we're running into with the MAF pipe is this:

With the size pipe that is being run, the MAF frequency is so low, its off the bottom of the MAF scale in the ECM. There are two ways this could be worked around in the tune:

1. Scale the MAF tables down so the airflow calculations are correct. The problem here is there's no "resolution" so fueling might be non-precise at idle.

2. Switch to a hybrid SD/MAF fueling mode where we switch to MAF only after airflow is high enough to register in the MAF tables

There may end up being other problems since the MAF is used for more than just fueling. We're going into uncharted territory, either we'll be able to fix this in the tune or we'll have to switch to a smaller MAF tube.

Could also be MAF proximity to the TB and/or alignment with the TB. I've asked Sentry for pictures of his setup. I'm working with mrsilent also, who has a 3" MAF tube and his car DOESN'T have this problem (MAF reports airflow "normally")

Big-Dave has exactly the same issue - MAF frequency is off the scale on the low end. Big-Dave could you send me pictures of your MAF, and MAF Pipe also?
