Well if you only had it running for 5 minutes, it should clear up after a few heat cycles. No but i should be running by this coming weekend, barring any major snags, lol...

A smokey setup for the first 20-30 minutes is usually pretty normal... oil is all over everything from production, handling it during install to spilling putting fluids in, so on and so forth.
Let your engine idle for about 5 minutes before driving to break the turbo in. Then go easy on her at first, get it used to spooling. Dont panic over smoke for the first little while either.

Finally decided it was time to take the reigns and back it out of the garage! The thick layer of RTV really helped control the leaks, and now that it's fully cured I've been driving it around. Got some datalogs and am about to hook up the wideband for performance tuning.
I'm getting some major turbo flutter though, that kind of concerns me. I'm not even beating on it either. Blow off valve is on a T vacuum fitting that's attached to the manifold. Think I need a weaker spring?

Wow! Took it up the street for some runs and I can officially say I'm an addict.
5 psi and it pulled so damn hard, not even close to full boost. BOV was just a bit stiff, on low boost it flutters but it's not enough air to hurt, 5 psi and it blows off just fine. No worries there. Gotta find this intake leak now, I thought I knew where it was but not sure now.
If I get a hold of a camera I'll take some videos tonight, lol.

He has an external gate and it's not adjustable, might be his blowoff valve...

Got the intake leaks fixed, car is boosting good now. Got 7 psi when I took it out today.
Finishing up tuning, I wish we had a dyno around here. I have no clue where I am at on 7 psi.

For all wondering, on 07+ the fuel rails are different and the 42# injectors don't sit far enough into the head to fully seal, it leaks gas everywhere. You need an lsj fuel rail or modify the stocker to let it sit further in.
Also, getting 13 mpg right now. Running hella rich, hopefully we can get that fixed.
