i have the zzp midlength with the megan racing exhaust... and i love it... its a nice low rumble at idle and then when i get on it its loud...
hoenstly i think the midlength would be the better call.. i can tell my car pulls harder now...

The shorty will give you more gains high in the power band, while the mid-length will give you gains in the mid range. Its your call where you want your power band to be. It won't be too big a difference though and either one is much better than the stock manifold.

so since i have the 2.4 mani swap on my car i should go with the mid right? and if i do that is there any mid length out for our cars that bolts up to the stock down pipe? i plan on replacing that as well but just not at the same time...

no, a midlength will not bolt to the donwpipe without cutting and welding.

As far as I know, only shorties can bolt right up to the stock downpipe.

i thought it was the other way around, that a mid would help more with the high end.
though i admit im not really familiar with the differences caused by mid vs shorty.
anyone know any good places to read about that?

thats jsut one, theres lots around, jsut search header theory or something in google, I ve also found equations for deciding what size primaries to use based on your displacement and at what rpm you want peak torque

i really dont do anything more than run a 1/4 mile on the weekends so i think a shorty would do just fine. it shouldnt mess with any of the daily driving that i do right? i dont really drive all that fast anymore. too many tickets

A shorty header will serve your purpose just fine, and drivability will only improve.

4-1 short will be the best at flowing air at high RPM's and a 4-2-1 long tube will provide the most low end torque but not flow as well in the upper RPM's. Take your pick.

im open to learn, cause i have no clue if the above is correct, but its the only thing that makes sense in my mind
