Nope, all the time money and mods I've invested into this car means I'm married for atleast another 4 years.
Also traffic is too bad for a manual here, shifting where I live is more of an annoyance rather than an enjoyance... Theres a stoplight every quarter mile, with stand still traffic throughout.

uh what are u tryin to move.. a standard is way more fun to drive and yea an auto might shift faster and never miss a gear but u cant control when it is going to shift which is going to make a huge difference when racing especially if u were going around a lot of turns. IMO i think putting a lot of money into a 2.2 auto isnt worth the outcome at all

get your head port and polished, but take it to a machine shop not an engine builder. You can get it done cheap that way, and most of them know what their doing. Depending on your other mods, just from a p&p job you could pick up 15-20whp, and the gain will just increase the more mods you do. then i'd say go nitrous (WET KIT!!!!!!!!) later on.

Lets not turn this into an auto vs manual flame war. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. I got an auto because it suited my situation best, now unless you have constructive ideas, please refrain from being a douchebag and move on

and with a shift plus, a auto can shift just as good as a manual...
IMO i think putting money into a discountinued motor is pointless but thats another topic for another thread
agreed im to sick to argue

im not arguing that a standard is more fun to drive, why do you think i bought a standard? but the tranny in the 2.2/2.4 manual's are POS they are rated FROM GM for 160 tq..meaning any aftermarket mod and your pushing your tranny to its limits..
and with a shift plus, a auto can shift just as good as a manual...

an auto wont outrun a manual without a tranny tune/stall if the manual can be properly driven. The whole auto > manual thing really only works on modded 8's imo or aftermarket auto trannies on drag cars. Most fwd cars get such bad traction that a loose stall is a bad idea and you need the control of a manual to pedal it for the first couple gears anyway.

I think the cams would be a great idea to as you wouldnt need tuning for running them, and they wont wear down your valve train like the stage 2 and 3's will..
