Try telling that to Vince or Term. They will tell you otherwise.

It's lean, but Vince said it looked good where it was at.

why would you no longer be able to say you were a 2.2 if you had 8.9:1 CR?
8.9 still provides plenty of torque and allows you to have more boost which is where the power is at.

hey gents didn't mean to step on any toes. over the years i've always been asked if i own an SS and i have taken pride in stating that it is in fact a 2.2. to be honest i'm sure the 8.9 drives fine but i absoultely love my car as is. wouldn't change it for the world. not worried about how much boost i see. i just want to have fun with my ride.

My toes are good! I just don't understand why it wouldn't be a 2.2.. It's still a 2.2 unless you bore the **** out of it lol And it will always be an L61 no matter what

i'm gonna bump to 14.5 and then get a boost controller later. no cooler.

if you run the trans too cold it acts an ass when shifting.

you could use a 8 to 10lb spring and then turn it up to 14.5 with the boost controller. Just dont try to boost more than doubble of the spring psi.

Keep your tranny in mind though too. I have a small tranny cooler and was doing some WOT pulls with my friend against his CBR 600RR and It was I could tell it was lagging on the shifts cause it was getting hot. How much would 14.5PSI put you at to the wheel? Keep that 350WTQ in your head.
My friend with the CBR600RR was very impressed I was on his rear wheel every pull. Then I told him I can't wait for 25PSI and he went online and started buying stuff for his bike hahaha
