The tuning is going to be different. Read the Cobalt 250+HP thread under FI. It will explain the way we're running the tuning now. Just gotta dig through the thread.
The way he tunes it now isnt bad, it works, but you cant retard timing. But with the Unichip or Perfect Power SMT-6, you can.

okay thanks i think i have some reading to do now. when i bring my car in they would most likly install it, so would they retard the timing, cause for the price they should. But what are the advantages of having the timing retarded?is it really needed?

Yes, when you do FI, you increase pressure, which makes the fuel detonate early, so you gotta retard timing to prevent that. The setup thats bein put on my car is going to be very nice, its already been used on the ions, its being tuned right now, so stay tuned. my cars the one their doin the work on.

from my understanding they just use some type of EIC...

works okay on low boost applications but I'm not too fond of that setup personally...

have yet to really see this setup work on an 05+ Ecotec with the MAF

if you wanna see videos.... head over to redlineforums and search 'procharger'

that's on an ion and i'm using the "old" tuning. just installed an SAFC tho and am working on getting that fine-tuned. This is until i get my internals build and the SMT-6 put on (or SCT if they come around before then)
