Sportlines of Prolines?
I've decided to lower my cobalt and I want to get Eibach springs. I'd like to drop it as much as possible but it is a daily use car and I don't want to have to worry about a lot of extra wear and tear or bottoming out too easily. Also, I have the 1sb 16 inchers on my vehicle and it looks like a 2 inch drop would be pretty darn close to the inside of the front wheel well on turns. I'm not prepared to do any structural work to make these things fit. With all this in mind, can I go for the extra drop of the prolines or should I play it safe and go with the sportlines?

sportlines will lower it more than pro (1.7-2.3 for the sportlines, 1-1.5 for the pro-kit.). Eibach doesnt have prolines, that im aware of so im assuming you're refering to the pro-kit. I say go for the sportlines. You have some room to work with and then you could get a lower drop, and be able to play with making it fit. I have seen the pro-kit on some cobalts and it doesnt make much of a difference, the people i have talked to were not happy with the pro-kit and most were going to sportlines. Good luck

I don't think that either would have you bottom out. Eibach springs are not garbage and generally are very much like stock as far as ride quality. If you're going with the sport, i'd look into a upgraded shock as well, and perhaps a camber adjust kit if one is needed.
