sportshifter..?

does anyone know if a sport shifter is made for a cobalt?

as in sport shifter (cuz they are called so many different things) i mean an automatic transmission that can be pushed over into a "manual" type transmission that u slap the gears.

I know what your talking about. My friends Volkswagen Jetta is auto but you can move the shifter over to the right and you have semi-auto

No company has made a conversion kit for the cobalt. Your going to have to trade it in for a 5 speed if you want to shift gears.

A "slap/bang/ratchet shifter" will make no difference on the Cobalt's auto...you can't control shift points with the selector at all, just the way it operates.

Any aftermarket shifter would only be for looks unless they also provide a modified valve body and/or a way to manipulate the TCM.

well tiptronic is owned by german auto makers. and they licenses it to be used by other manufactures. the american made cars that have it in there cars is a bastardized version. of what audi, volkswagen, SEAT and Skoda have in them
