Stage 3 Cams
I know we have a lot of people with stage 1 cams, who successfuly use them, we even have a handful of people who are using stage but my question is what tye of car do you use stage 3 cams, what extra power do you get and what supporting mods do you need(I myself am not planning on using them...now worries, just curious)

so if stage two is barely streetable why use it....and I was told theirs only a diff like 2-5 hp between stage 1 and two, so what would be the diffrence from stage two to stage 3?

cams alone do not net you significant gains in power. the subject had been disputed many times in the early years here, second account for me.

True, stage 2 is barely streetable but, there is a bigger difference in HP between stage 1 and stage 2. Stage 1 you see 15-20 Hp and stage 2 about 20-25 HP. Stage 3 will actually be more around 35-40 HP simply because there is a big amount of overlap. The more overlap the more power, cause ur pushing more raw fuel out. Anyhow, yes you definitly need forged rods, 92 lb. valve springs, and some solid lifters wouldn't hurt. Im running stage 2's and still have all stock internals, but i'm also pushing the limits too, cause i shift at 7000, so its potentially risky everytime i drive.
