suggested idle, lower idle?
i havn't looked in the manual or on the car to see if there's a suggested idle rpm, mine idles at 1 grand which should be stock like everyone elses, i was wondering, since i owned a bike previously if lowering the idle to around 5-600 rpm to save gas while waiting at lights and stuck in traffic is do-able. any reasons not to? how would i do this? i havn't experimented so not sure if the engine would bogg or have trouble starting up, seem slike an easy way to cut your gas usage while idlling almost in half, because i heard that an idling car can burn 1 gallon per hour which is easy when you calculate the all the minute you sit at traffic lights. any comments welcome. its just an idea, has anyone done this.

the car must've ben cold when i saw t idlingn at 1 grand, nothing to worry about since it drops to around 6-750 when warm.
another concern is y coolant temp, it was at 208* yesterday... is that normal?? it's usually right at 190* but i was running it pretty hard, i hope its not my air filter beacuse i has a modded stock box wih cone fiter
is this something to worry about?

The idle is based on the coolant temps. When the coolant temp is under 120 degrees the car idles higher. Once it gets above 120 the idle goes into the normal range. The idle is probably different based on whether you drive an auto or manual. Auto idle should be somewhere are 700 or 750 and manual idle is usually a bit higher around 800 or 850.
