Super/Turbo Kits

How much would it cost for a

Supercharger kit?
Turbo kit?

How hard is to instal?

What would be the gains from the
Super kit?
Turbo kit?

Will it run fine since it would probally void all waranties?

tune is obvious to allow it to run correctly, second its ur choice sc is constant power as for turbo is a lil lag depending on the size turbo u get. sc's u can get cheap from some of us that goto turbo, there are turbo kits out already. choice is yours do some research. that's what the search button is here for...

alright, superchargers on Cobalts are easier to install and are cheaper reliable power. But, they dont give you big power. If you want big power you should get a Turbo. You want good reliable power and simpler install I would suggest a supercharger.

Any idea how much I would gain from it?

Since mine is automatic would I need anything else than just the SC Kit? How much is an SC Kit?

As said before supercharging is easier and more reliable... I would recommend going supercharged.. The L61 takes pretty good to a supercharger, your looking at around 215WHP with 42lbs injectors and a stock pulley, good tune with a good intake and exhaust.. A Hahn turbo kit would put you around 250WHP..The automatics in these cars are strong, they can hold power pretty well.. You can piece together a supercharger Kit for around 1500-2000 bucks.. a Hahn Kit is going to be well over 3000..

i picked up a supercharger off an redline for 500$ with everything.pullies/injectors/charger and im sure more **** i forgot.the charger only has 30K on it.then once you get everything all installed you will need a tune which would run you who kno's how much.im sure someone on here could answer that and recommend someone who is good at tunning it(from what i hear vince from trifecta is the man for the job).if you have money to throw into a turbo.go turbo.but a cheaper route then def go supercharged.thats why i choose charging it

Although my post count is low, I've been on these forums for about a year or so now, and I still can't for the life of me figure out why so many people carry this attitude.

Dude, you really weren't being helpful, and certainly not hospitable. You bought a car that came with FI. Why don't you let the l61 guys who have gone FI answer his questions instead? He may not know what to look for, but you don't have to **** all over him. One of the first times I posted someone pulled the same **** on me.

People getting all shitty with each other and pulling this "I'm better than you because of my post count" crap will run this site into the ground within the next few years (although I hope it's not the case). You're just a dude posting on the internet. Try and play nice.

And to the OP- The only thing I know of causing issues with having an automatic tranny is something about clearance on an S/C install, check out hunterkiller's threads. Most autos get B&M Shiftplus. Do you have that already?

I personally chose to turbo my car bc I knew more about turbo's and I honestly wanted to turbocharge my balt than supercharge it like every ss out there. I get a lot of looks around my area when ppl figure out what I have under the hood.

I went with the hahn turbo kit
42 lb injectors
trifecta tune
exedy stage 2 clutch & flywheel.

ur an auto so ur tranny will hold up but I recommend when u get tuned make sure u change shift points and what not....talk to vince from trifecta he can answer all ur tuning ?'s
