Question Supercharged or Turbocharged

I was think about supercharging or turbocharging my cobalt but wasn't sure which one to choose, so I was wondering what everyone has been most satisfied with?

from what i under stand, if you want a quick getup and go, you go super charger, since its pully driven, it dosent have a lag and nets a averege of 60hp,
a turbo has a lag on it do to it being exhust fuled, but it also nets you 100+hp
if you cant make up your mind, go procharger

the blower has more like a 100whp gain for our cars.... turbo is anywhere from 80whp-250whp gains depending on turbo, boost levels, and how deep your pockets are

More than 60 hp can be had with a blower.

i wasnt being exact on any number, a averege of 60 for super, it can go higher or lower depending on what you got,

and turbos can go easily 100 or more (notice the +)

sc set up as said is cheaper( not as much top power) but if ur a n/a car ur block needs built to acheave enough power b4 u will reach top end for the turbo or supercharger

Turbo is alot more power( more than u need ) and cost quite a bit more... but also turbo all u need is a manfold and its definatly easly transferable car to car. ... alot more expesive from what i have learned/

i was just saying the average gain for a blower is 100whp. the LE5 guys see 130whp gains with smaller pulleys

with the rate guys are turboing there LSJ's, supercharing your car is very cheap in comparision to turboing your car, your looking at about 1000 in parts at most!, compared to a minimum of around 2000 dollars for a turbo set up, it all breaks down into what you want out of the car, a car with 250 s/c'd is a totally different car then with 250 turbo'd. think about it and see ultimetley what you want, then start buying parts.

well start with doing research, finding out whats really going to happen, then find out if your going to be able to tackle it yourself, or pay somebody to do it, and factor that price as well, since youll need to pay for tuning/ dyno time as well

youll have to scavage around the classifieds section as well as many supporting vendors here for parts, get a solid list of parts you need and know what you do and dont need.

i know you dont have smoked lights as a performance mod, but it made me think of it
