Supercharger belt issue
ok so i have a 2.2 and im supercharging it i have everything done pretty much, except i cannot get the belt on, we have tried the 15mm open wrench as well as a crowbar/prybar and nothing will get the tensioner low enough for us to be able to get the belt around the supercharger pulley.
Anyone have any suggestions? i've read the GM repair manul the GM guide to stage 2 and have the right setup for the belt it just seems too be a tad too tight.

i forgot to mention in the PM...for an immediate fix, a smaller pulley will work (a 3.0" pulley worked on a stock belt fine...i didnt get belt slip until i dropped to a 2.9)
also...find a bigger guy to do it... my friend steve's tensioner is insanely harder to compress than mine, and we had to call his 240lb friend to help us push it down while we slipped the belt on.

I got it on with help from my friend...we put the belt in all pulleys, than bolted the blower to the manifold, basically lift the throttle body side of the blower, lower tensionor as much as u can, and than slide belt on, than push blower down and bolt it to the manifold

the stock bolts are made to break incase of overtorquing. remember our block/head is all aluminum..and its better to use weak replacable bolts that break than to use strong bolts that strip the block. Of course if you torque everything to specs then it wont be an issue regardless of which you use.
