so i have this damn ticking or clickin noise and it sounds like its coming from header/dp but at start up i can hear it alot then it almost goes away that i cant hear it once i rev it you can hear it again. iv tightened down all the bolts on header/dp and exhaust 3 times now and all the gaskets are brand new. can anything else be causing this clicking

it may be older gas I'm guessing as well..

seeing as you dont drive it, its going to take a while for the older gas to get through the system.. depending how much was in it

Have you upgraded to the new style timing chain tensioner? if the sound is coming from that side of the engine it could be that

buddy of mine with a built LSJ just watched it and said it sounds like either a lifter or chain tensioner. so chain tensioner may be it!

I'm guessing (just a complete guess), that it would make the most sense to be the tensioner if the noise is coming from that area. I'm not certain as to if you need to run a different one when you go s/c'd but it wouldnt surprise me if you did need to due to the strain's the s/c puts on the belt as compared to just being N/a

like i said, total guess but thats my logic on it.

i'd doubt it would be a lifter as you never touched internal stuff what-so-ever, so I'm basically tossing that idea out..

mine bounches around 13-15ish. under wot im like 12.6 right now. but i think since im running e85 my fuel filters starting to get clogged up since the alcohol is cleaning out my gas tank so im going to swap my fuel filter in a week or two when i get the money for one and see what happens. when i first did the build i was at 11.5afr under 10lbs of boost or so
