depends on how much boost you run

check out some of the supporting vendors on this site they have turbo kits.

go to google and type in cobalt turbo. i gaurentee one will pop up. both garrett and alpine make kits for or car. yo can even find them on ebay.
here is Garrett http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbob...oletCobalt.htm
here is Alpine
http://www.alpine-developments.us/chevy_cobalt.html

i am currently installing the Alpine stageII kit and i will be boosting 8lbs. that is supposed to be safe but be ready to replace yor exhaust, eventually yor clutch., and anything else that might go wrong

your stock clutch should hold out very well, i dunno where you got the idea that you need to replace it right away. if you dont know how to drive stick correctly you may need to but i had no trouble and i ran it hard for 3k+ miles.

beat the **** outta my car to 35k w/ 4k boosted and clutch was fine. +1 on the "know how to drive" part of this statement.

you dont have to spend 3-4g on a turbo kit, im buying one off a kid with a srt4 probally for $400 for piping, intercooler, turbo, ect just need a manafold to fit my car and a little modifing on the srt4 stuff. i got told 6-10lbs of boost will hold fine on the stock block. but anything more you should redo fuel, pistons ect...but before anything....im getting exhuast done and cams

I was watching videos on youtube today. The supercharger has a whine, as the turbo has like a whistle. I like the turbo sound better. I read on here somewhere that a guy ripped off a rear-mount turbo from like a '97 Eclipse GSX and made it a sleeper.
