What ballpark do YOU think my 2.2 will be in after I get the mods installed?

So far I have:
AEM Cold Air Intake
Magnaflow full catback exhaust

Coming Monday:
Pacesetter ceramic headers
Hyper voltage GT system
ECU/ECM and Tranny tune

Thats what I thought too, but Nelson performance has a crack on the 2.2s. Their the only place in the country that can do it, thats why it ain't cheap. Up untill today I thought nobody could tune the 2.2 but apparently they can, their one of the best in the country and have already done a couple of custom tunes on other 2.2s. Plus the voltage GT system is showing wheel gains of 15hp and 16tq according to a dynojet. Now lets add that to 10hp from the intake, 10 for the exhaust, 10 for the headers, and 20ish for the tune. 120 hp to the wheels stock, plus 65 is 185.

where is this nelson place at? dont really expect 10 from intake and 10 from catback and 10 from headers. i highly doubt that they actually give that much to us 2.2s. what is the GT voltage system?

do it.

Are you auto or manual. Autos have no tuning available. At all. So far from what I've seen the only tuning available to the 2.2s is a/f related. No ign timing, no rev limit set, etc.

Also take advertised gains with a grain of salt. It's too easy to alter settings on the dyno or forget to mention other modifications used to acheive those gains.

Nope, you will be in the 160 range if your lucky. I will bet you $50.00 you will not be at 185 even at the flywheel. You will be around 160 WHP tops, probably less. Not knocking you, just being realistic. When you start combining mods, you will not get the full HP as you would if you just did one of them to a stock motor.

Your going to drive over 1600 miles to CA for a tune that will maybe net you 15HP??? You are crazy, just wait until someone else cracks the ECM.

Dude I know I was on the same boat, I told them over and over that there isn't any, but they kept saying there was, they have an automatic transmission tune for the 2005-06 cobalts, they change the shift points by reflashing the tranny computer. I didn't get the details about the ecu/ecm reflash but when I asked if they could remove the govenor and change a/f ratio they said yes. I'm going to get full details tomorrow when I call em back.

I really don't see how tuning the a/f ratio has anything to do with the tcm... Personally I think they're playin you for your money. I'd be very careful in what services you ask them for.

Also be careful where you have them set your shift points. The last thing you need is to have a shift point past your rev limiter.

OK, that is a little better. So you want to take my $50 bet??? Come on, the thread is called taking bets. I will even drive out there to pick up my money when I win!!! Maybe I should tell you I am coming out there anyway the first of next year to visit family, I grew up in Lewisville, so you dont think I am crazy enough to drive over 1200 miles just for $50.
