TO BOTH OF YOU.

1. What are your power goals?

2. What is your budget?

if you want a lot of power, usually the easier way is turbo...less parasitic loss and whatnot

if you cant/dont want to spend a lot then go with supercharger...you can get the m62 "kit" that someone with an ss/sc is getting rid of(like if they did a turbo swap) for kinna cheap usually

thats pretty much what it comes down to

I would be happy just to hit 200whp and I would like to keep things on the cheaper side. But at the same time I just love the way a turbo sounds.

Yea wat he said. I just finish doin my calculations of how much I spent out of my pocket and it ended up being $2075.00

That's everything on my list except the wideband which is 200 more. And I will find out how much hp I have wit in the week.

You can easily go supercharged for under 2k. It's so easy to find used supercharger parts. You don't need a hook up, you can go on ebay and get a m62 for 300-400 dollars and that will be the most expensive item you get.

Auto might be what saves you from replacing a transmission. I heard the manual in the ls isn't good for over 200hp. But yeah, as far as turbo vs supercharger, if you don't plan on putting 8k+ under the hood, then go supercharged. It's much easier and can be done MUCH cheaper than turbo, and you gotta love that whine and instant torque. There's no point in going turbo if you're just looking for around 200-250 hp/trq unless you just absolutely ******* have to have that spool and bov sound.

Part of me wishes I would have kept it simple with just a SC, I might have a half way running car right now. That and I would stop with that, not press on and try to upgrade internals.....debt....you know how it goes.

To the OP: NICE pulls!!! That thing really ******* flew on 15 psi, watch those IATs though!

well i already got a stage 2 exedy clutch that can with stand round 250 to 300 hp or something like that. so my tranny should be lookin good since i upgraded my tranny like 15000 miles ago.

but sc is the cheapest way to get wat you want for around 200 plus hp. and all the parts are pretty much bolt ons cuzthey go right into place

glad to see you got it running dude. Andrews right regarding those who are debating whether to do this or go turbo. It depends on power goals and budget.

Just so you guys know though...you will always want more... I thought id be content with 200whp....im around 220whp and am already looking into a TVS....lol
But that would be for the people with enough $$ to build their engines

I think i just solved your added boost issues too... you said you rev to 7Krpms in your video? on stock cams? Stock cam profiles are very inhibiting after 6300RPMs, so boost would build pretty damn fast after that point.

hey casey i don't have stock cams. i got custom grind cams. which change the duration of the valves and the lift is the same. it is said to be better than stage 1 cams.

also i got the 3 inch pulley from a member of my car club and he said he was runnin 15 lbs of boost also at wot. so idk why you got 11 lbs on a 3".

i have no clue where you got that 200hp rating, but its really tq. and there are tons of ecotec guys running 400+ on the F23 with NO issues at all.

well, that shoots down my theory...
the same size pulley will make more boost on a smaller engine since less CFMs would be entering the cylinders per revolution. are you sure its a 3"? lol. And do you have an interceptor by chance?
