Thanks guys, I'm not looking for anything too hard core just maybe a little better throttle response or a few ponies. However I'm not willing to lose fuel economy. Is there a chance my fuel economy will go down with an intake?

All intakes do the same thing. Some throw codes and some dont. Injen i know for a fact does not. That is why a lot of people recommend it so much.

some cars don't like the addition of a CAI and will set off a cel related to it. the injens are well known not to. others are a 50/50 chance, i personally have a JDM intake and its been fine and i've had it for a month on my 07 2.4. the codes are usually to over oiled air filters.

Intake is a pipe and a filter. Any will do fine. Get the jdm one and save some cash. OH BY the way spanky i used a pipe expander on my intake, perfection.

It would also help you if you had posted in the 2.4 section since you have a 2.4.

Injen is what I have on the SS/SC, many choose Injen as they have great dyno increase results.
