I am saying that a vehicle with about the same weight but one having more power should be faster in the 1/4 mile but there are other things that can play effect to it in real life, I'm just trying to specify the difference between the 2.

Theoretical is never the same as actual. Theoreticly a 2.4 is around a half second faster then a 2.2 with all varibles constant. But constant varibles hardly happen in a 1/4 mile race so actually anything could happen. So there is a % of error due to unconstant and uncrontolable varibles. That means that while the .5 differnece is a good rule of thumb it could be anywhere from 1.5 second difference to even the 2.2 having a better time then the 2.4.
