Color of smoke? Blue = oil = rings?

White = coolant = headgasket?

can you get a video?

i hate that dreaded ticking sound lol. last time i heard that, i had a spun bearing. yea, messing with your only car isnt the best idea. i got some friends doing that now. sold their escort, the 240 has no motor and they are modding their srt and at the race track every day. i wont feel sorry when they blow up the engine cause he doesnt have a wideband on the car and is being to cheap to get one and is running a tune and dont have a clue how rich or lean its running

not saying it is, but it could be a possibility since you over revved it and now youre hearing a ticking sound.

Ok so it over revved? When it's idling does it sound like it's up in the head or on the block? If it's in the block then the bottom end is wacked somehow. You could have spun a bearing, streched a rod or rod bolt. If it's up top you may have broke a valve spring, you may even bent a valve, if it over revved bad it could have had a valve hang up and been smacked by the piston.
Either way, sounds like it's gonna have to come out.

If it's in the head it's probably a valve spring.

Its gonna be somthing in the head.. Over revin will blow black smoke but if u have ticking in thr head from a over rev it could be valve spring. Rocker.... Valve stem.. Ect.. If u dont have a.stethescope use a screw driver flat head mainly and put the metal end on the valve cover and listen with your ear everywhere on the valve cover. Also check ure oil level.

Oil level is good. Believe it is coming from the exhaust side

pull off the valve cover just to be 100% sure. rather it be in the head then in the block. the head is alot easier to take off and put back on

That to me sounds like a bad broken roller or a bad bearing on bottom end.. Lift the car up and listen to the bottom end. Check to see if u can hear anything down there..

My dad and I listened with a screwdriver on the valve cover and seemed to come from exhaust side of head. Gonna check the bottom end now
