Take out old tensioner slowly, put in new tensioner with the slot facing up and down. Ta-Da! Seriously it's easy. You can take the valve cover off if you want to to make sure timing doesn't jump but not really necessary.

def take off your valve cover it takes no time, and u can watch and make sure the notch on the tensioner sits into the seat on the chain guide. Hell for extra precaution i would take two zip ties and zip tie the chain to the cam gear sprockets tight so it cant jump timing. Although easy ive seen far too many **** this procedure up do it the right way

but you should at least take off the valve cover, just remove it slowly. they tend to pop out at the end so watch out for that

I believe the socket is 32mm or 1 1/4" in case you need to know.

Most likely. Easy way to tell is, does it slide apart and separate into two pieces, or is it one piece with a snap ring in the little space where the big and little piece come together? Two piece is old style (like the stock one). New style stays together and has the snap ring.

How hard are LSD's to install and uninstall in the f23? If I buy one i dont want my next trans to take a dump at 20k again. Then id have to swap it into another junkyard 5 speed. 2nd gear is almost out and 3rd is all the way out currently. Is there a better option that i could use. I wouldnt mind spending 2k if it lasts.
