To bad this kit still doesnt help anyone with secondary air injection. I would buy it if i didnt have that damn SAI.

if your only reason as to not get this kit because you have some sort of aftermarket intake, i suggest you rethink it.

It would be easier to sell your intake, and get this. Far too much power.

SAI wont affect a turbo set-up
a turbo set-up would give you new headers and a new intake, replacing the SAI on your stock headers and intake

no no. Secondary air injection(SAI) is an emissions control device that gm put on mid to late year 06 cobalts. its an air pump that is tied into our intakes and exhaust manifolds. If i were to install the alpine turbo kit i would have to take the secondary air injection system off. Then i would have a ton of check engine light issues. Untiil a company is able to reflash our computers to delete the SAI, us mid to late year 06's are SOL.

This kit I have personally seen and drove and all I can say is wow...!

My opinion on this kit is it should of came from the factory this way, I saw someone say it looked crappy? the turbo is good up to 300hp, all piping is mandrel bent, and Chromed, all Silicone fittings are the same and high quality, manifold is casted specific for the 2.2L/2.4L engine w/heat shield (sits farther on the drivers side for heat reasons, not like other kits in the middle)heat shield blanket on fire wall to insure heat protection, air hat is designed to swirl around air so when the 5th injector ads fuel there is no puddling and a proper mix of air/fuel is mixed together, Tuning via SMT-6 you have control of your air/fuel, pull timing (timing control) and data logging, down pipe designed specific to the Cobalt, Cold Air Intake designed w/fatty K&N Air Filter up front by bumper fitted with MAF Sensor, Piping designed for front mount intercooler... all in all the kit was designed for longevity and constancy and continuous power...with room to grow!

Therefore, for the people that want to go internals and more boost it is a 1-time investment!

In addition, this kit strapped on to a Cobalt LS did run a Cobalt SS/SC and the winner was the Cobalt LS! so this kit has already beat a stock SS/SC, and rumors are it runs with EVO's and modded SS/SC and vids soon to come to prove this "Rumor"...

Therefore, for 3500 you are getting a hell of a Turbo kit! Alpine designs these kits so it looks like it came from the dealer but out performs modified cars like the SS/SC stock for stock.
Again, I am truly impressed with this kit and you will not believe it until you drive it!
In addition, someone said they would do a FMU…? On a return less fuel line setup, you would need to go with a DFMU to control fuel and in fact, I know someone is selling one at a great price! So yes, FMU digital will work as well but for the price and control SMT-6 FTW!
Thanks Kevin

some suspension work to get that power to the ground. alot of people don't realize how faster suspension work can make your car along with some nice sticky tires.

well with turbo kit, you should have a catback exhuast, high flow bigger cat, proper gauges, and dyno/install time which is big money

as for running with Evos I really dont think 206hp and 220 tq is going ot run with an AWD evo, maybe if he is a horrible driver. But who knows, i have a guy down here with a evo with few mods running 11's so who really knows these days with cars

so this kit uses a extra injector to add fuel only under boost conditions is that correct? if that is so then the computer still hasn't been cracked correct?

Yes, the piggyback is why that 5th injector adds fuel, and it changes the A/F ration automaticly..

And yes, it is only under boost. it comes with a built in 2.5Bar MAP sensor.
